Zed Essays Q1 2021, Issue #2
Happy New Year!
(feels strange saying that in March, doesn’t it?!)
Welcome to the second issue of Zed Essays.
Since the publication of Issue #1, a lot has happened in the world. Our social media timelines and newsfeeds have been filled with numerous stories, many of which we can’t even remember.
However, here at Zed Essays we like to take life in the slow lane. We produce articles that (we hope) leave their mark; articles that won’t easily be forgotten. Just like the inaugural issue, this one has its fair share of interesting and thought-provoking reflections on Zambian life and culture today.
I’m indebted to each of the writers for taking the time to process their thoughts and write them down. This couldn’t happen without them.
So – without further ado, let me introduce you to the six Zed Essays pieces of Q1 2021:
Home is Enveloping Me... /// By Sana Ginwalla
One Zambia, Many Nations? /// By Jedidiah Manengu
Inconceivable. /// By Kimiko Bwalya
A Zambian Atheist's Experience /// By Jolezya
But How Will I Carry You? /// By Phebby Muwowo
AfriConté: A Tale of Zambian Craftsmanship /// By Mubiana Kabaghe
Enjoy!
